Krispy Kreme's Pumpkin Spice Doughnut On Sale Thursday

HOMEWOOD, IL — The craze around pumpkin spice-related products might've jumped the shark, according to online food website Eater, but no one passed along that memo to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. (It was probably included in the same memo that mentioned the phrase "jump the shark" had, in fact, jumped the shark.)

That's a good thing for pumpkin spice lovers in some certain South Suburban communities, though. It means foodies around these parts will be able to sample Krispy Kreme's Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed doughnut. The special seasonal pastry only will be available Thursday at the national doughnut chain's stores throughout the Chicago area, including the locations at Homewood, 17815 S. Halsted St., and Evergreen Park, 9150 S. Western Ave.

And what should customers expect from their Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed doughnut? It's the classic glazed doughnut, "with a hint of cinnamon and pumpkin spice flavor," according to the chain. Plus, it's prepared like Krispy Kreme's other doughnuts: fresh and warm.

The Homewood location is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, and the drive-through window is open 24 hours daily. The Evergreen Park location is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday the drive-through window is open from 6 a.m. to midnight daily. Doughnuts are served fresh and warm between 6 to 10 a.m. and 4 to 9 p.m. daily.
