Police Bust Men in Drag in Lansing Sting

Two men dressed as female prostitutes attacked an undercover officer after trying to rob him during a police sting.

Cook County Sheriff’s Police arrested a team of bandits dressed in women’s clothing at the Lansing Red Roof Inn, according to police.

The Sheriff's Vice Unit set up the meeting under the pretense of a meeting with a female escort at the hotel. 26-year-old Dominique Wilson and 21-year-old Devaul Killingsworth, both of Chicago, were waiting in the hotel room dressed in drag when an undercover officer entered. The two attempted to rob the officer and then attacked him once they discovered he was police. The officer managed to apprehend both men before backup arrived, although he sustained a broken hand and several cuts and bruises in the process.

Both men were charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, robbery, unlawful restraint and resisting arrest. Wilson is on a $300,000 bond and Killingsworth’s is $275,000.
