The BP refinery in Whiting, Indiana, had a leak from a pipeline that transports material in the tank field, the city announced Thursday morning, adding emergency crews immediately responded.
The leak had been stopped and cleanup was underway Thursday morning, according to city and BP authorities, who said additional precautionary air monitoring was set up with no elevated readings detected.
