Loss Control Agent Shoved At Menard's, Cops Say

HOMEWOOD, IL — Police in Homewood arrested a man last week on accusations he shoved a loss control agent after stealing from a store.

A police report indicates that at 3:05 p.m. on April 16 at Menard's, 17545 Halsted St. officers responded to the store for a call of a retail theft.

Ron Brown, 51, of Chicago was charged with retail theft and battery on accusations he "concealed items and passed the final point of purchase without making payment for the merchandise." Police also say Brown shoved a loss control agent who approached him.
