The Loud Noise In Homewood Is Sand Blasting: Village Of Homewood
The village announced on Facebook that fire hydrants will be sand blasted for the next couple of weeks.
HOMEWOOD-FLOSSMOOR, IL — The Village of Homewood announced on Facebook that there will be a loud noise in the area for the next two to three weeks, as the village fire hydrants will be getting sandblasted.
The village said that the process is expected to last half a month and that the materials used are environmentally safe. A photo of a map highlights where the sandblasting will be taking place and can be seen in the post below.
GO PAINTERS, is the company that is completing the job, according to the post. The company uses a containment system during the process that leaves very minimal dust in the air, according to the post.
