Man In Custody After Standoff With Flossmoor Police Sunday
One man is in custody after he barricaded himself in a Flossmoor house in a six-and-a-half hour standoff with police Sunday.
FLOSSMOOR, IL — One man is in custody after he barricaded himself in a Flossmoor house in a six-and-a-half hour standoff with police Sunday.
Flossmoor police and the South Suburban Emergency Response Team surrounded the house after police answered a call around 8:30 a.m. Sunday and encountered a man with a rifle who shouted threats at them, the Sun-Times reported. The house was at the 2500 block of Caddy Street.
The newspaper reported that family members were able to escape, and that the man came in and out of the house several times during the ordeal.
