Man Parked In Homewood Had 3 Guns, 2 Bags Of Marijuana: Police
Police said they found a 32-year-old Dolton man on parole sleeping inside a parked car and saw a gun sticking out of his pocket.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police arrested a 32-year-old Dolton man last week after police said officers saw a gun inside the man's coat.
Police told Patch officers were called to investigate a "suspicious vehicle" parked outside Thursday evening. When they arrived, officers found the man sleeping inside the car. Using the license plate, police said they were able to identify the man as a parolee and then saw the grip of a handgun sticking out of his coat pocket.
When officers entered the car, they took the gun from the man's coat but a struggle began while police tried to take the man into custody. After calling additional officers, police said they were able to detain the man and look at the rest of the vehicle.

Police would not immediately respond to questions on the man's identity but said he is facing two felony charges along with resisting a peace officer.
