SOUTH HOLLAND, IL — A massive brawl broke out Tuesday at a Thornton Township board meeting, where a man called embattled Supervisor Tiffany Henyard an expletive, according to reports.
Punches were thrown and people jumped on tables and smashed monitors, NBC Chicago reported, noting Henyard and her boyfriend, Kamal Woods, joined the fray.
Jedidiah Brown, the man who called Henyard an expletive, was removed by security although no one was arrested, according to WLS, which noted Brown said he didn’t start the fight.

Henyard’s lawyer told WLS in a statement that the supervisor had attempted to obtain an emergency restraining order against Brown and tried to break up the brawl, adding both she and Woods suffered minor injuries and Henyard would pursue legal options. Henyard is also the mayor of Dolton.
Also at Tuesday’s meeting, Woods and William Moore, both township employees, were placed on paid administrative leave, and the board agreed to hire someone to probe the use of grants and other funds in connection with the at-risk youth program Woods runs as well as the outreach department, according to NBC Chicago.
