Music Teachers Share Calming Message During School Closure

HOMEWOOD, IL — While schools remain closed due to the spread of the new coronavirus and students statewide have taken to e-learning, a new set of challenges have come about for both students and teachers.

But the music teachers at Homewood School District 153 and Flossmoor School District 161 had a unifying message for their students. Don't worry. About a thing.

Fourteen teachers at the two districts collaborated to present their own music video via Zoom. The song they used was Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds," which has the underlying message of "Don't worry about a thing," a line repeated often in the song.

"Your teachers miss you dearly and can't wait to make music with you again," was the written text in this video that appeared before the song.
