In the quarterly scavenger hunts in downtown Homewood, the idea is to hide shamrocks, beach balls, footballs and turkeys around downtown Homewood to draw people into downtown businesses. Additionally, the Martin Square Block Party will be held the last Wednesday of every month. Food trucks, food carts, and various vendors will line Martin Square hoping to provide a place for locals to gather and enjoy great food, live music and amazing camaraderie. More information regarding the scavenger hunts and Martin Square Block Parties will be released as the events get closer. Another new event the Village will host, is the Homewood-Flossmoor holiday light tour where residents will have the opportunity to view the very best local light displays.
