One Dead After Wrong-Way Driver Crashes on I-94

Two others taken to hospital Saturday morning.

One person was killed and two others hospitalized as a result of a wrong-way collision on the Bishop Ford Freeway early Saturday morning. State Police said a driver who was northbound in the southbound lane at 147th Street near Calumet city struck another car at about 2:30 a.m. Alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash.

Traffic was shut down on I-94 for several hours. All lanes are open as of 8 a.m.
