Pedestrian, 18, Struck By Car Friday Night: Homewood Police

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating after an 18-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a car Friday night.

On Friday, Feb. 16 at approximately 7:54 p.m., the Homewood Police Department and Homewood Fire Department responded to the 18500 block of Kedzie Avenue for a report of a traffic crash. First responders learned that an 18-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a white Cadillac SUV traveling northbound on Kedzie Ave.

The injured pedestrian was treated for serious injuries and transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.

The circumstances of the crash are under investigation by the Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit with assistance from the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team (SMART).
