HOMEWOOD, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at the South Suburban Humane Society. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Tango, who is available for adoption at the humane society's Homewood Adoption Center.

The society said Tango is 13 years young and looking for a forever retirement home. His favorite things to do are to play with squeaky toys, play tug of war and chew on treats that are as big as he is. He is on some medications for the rest of his life due to some medical issues pertaining to his heart, but he is still incredibly peppy and sweet! Don't let his age fool you! His ideal home would be one with big comfortable beds, no cats, older kids and perhaps a dog friend or two.

Tango is at the Homewood Adoption Center waiting for that perfect family to scoop him up.
