Police Seek To Identify Accused Holiday Package Thief

HOMEWOOD, IL —Police are looking for an accused package thief who they say is a different person than someone charged with a string of recent package thefts over the holidays.

Homewood police said they will increase patrols in residential areas after thefts across the south suburbs affected Glenwood, Chicago Heights, Park Forest and Olympia Fields residents.

Footage from a home security system captured an image of a man police said took a package from a front porch. The man is wearing a White Sox jacket, blue beanie and black mask.
