River Oaks Mall On Lockdown After 2 Hurt In Drive-By Shooting
The shooting reportedly took place in a parking lot outside the River Oaks mall in south suburban Calumet City.
CALUMET CITY, IL — Authorities said River Oaks Center Mall in south suburban Calumet City is on lockdown after two people were hurt Thursday during a drive-by shooting in a parking lot, according to WLS. According to the news report, an official said the shooting took place in the parking lot near the entrance of Macy's at the mall, and a store employee said no one has been able to go in or out. Officials are trying to close the mall for the rest of the night, WLS reported.
The two victims were taken to a hospital and as of 7 p.m. Thursday their condition is unknown.
