School Supplies: What Parker Jr. High Students Will Need

In a few short weeks, local schools will open their doors and fill their seats with area children once again. Coincidentally, school supplies will be flying off the shelves amid bustling crowds and endless checkout lines. If you'd like to get a head start on some of the back-to-school commotion, Patch has compiled a list of the supplies kids will need for each area school.

All Students

• Trapper with 6 pocket folders in six different colors
• Wide lined notebook paper
• Plastic zipper pocket with pens, pencils inside trapper
• Six black/blue ballpoint pens
• Spiral notebooks
• One set of notebook dividers
• Two red ball point pens
• #2 Pencils with erasers or mechanical pencils with replacement lead
• One 12” ruler with both inches and centimeters
• One protractor with both inches and centimeters
• Five brown bags for book covers
• One small tip highlighter
• TI30 II S Scientific Calculator
• Thee large Kleenex boxes
• Silent reading book to keep in trapper
• One pkg. 2” x 11/2” Post-It notes for Language Arts
• One 3-ring binder, 1”

Sixth Grade Additional Requirements

• 12 colored pencils for science
• One 150 page five-subeject spiral notebook for math
• Teachers are requesting supplies be color coded to represent their respective school subjects

Seventh Grade Additional Requirements

• One set of notebook dividers
• Two spiral notebooks
• One three-subject spiral notebook with pockets for math
• Three 3-ring notebooks, 1"
• Eight colored pencils for social studies

Eighth Grade Additional Requirements

• One set of notebook dividers
  
• One 3-ring notebook, 1" 
• One 150 page spiral notebook for math
• Two 150 page spiral notebooks for social studies
• One 1" binder and a set of five dividers for science

Additional Supplies for Spanish & French, Both levels

• One pkg. lined 3 X 5 ruled note cards
• One 3-ring binder, 1/2”
• One spiral notebook, college ruled (100 pg.)
• One pkg. 3 x 3 Post-It notes
• Spiral notebook with dividers

Additional Supplies for Eighth Grade Honors Algebra

• Graphing Calculator (TI83, TI83 Plus, TI84)

Additional Supplies for Band  (Band binders are provided)

• Pencils for band binder
• Zipper binder for 3 ring band binder
