Shots Fired Call Unfounded: Homewood Police
Police were called Wednesday around 1 p.m. to the area of Elder Road and Center Avenue for a possible shots fired call.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police were called and a school was placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after a report of shots fired.
Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the call in the area of Elder Road and Center Avenue. Police did not locate anyone injured, or property damaged, Homewood Police Chief Denise McGrath told Patch.
James Hart School was placed on lockdown until the search was completed, McGrath said.

The area was searched extensively, with no offender located.
