Shots Fired, Car Crashes Into Tree Leaving Scene: Homewood PD

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating after shots were fired in the 17600 block of Hillside Saturday night.

On Saturday, Dec. 21 just before 7 p.m., Homewood police were called to a report of shots fired. Officers checked the surrounding area and located several spent shell casings near the location. The offender(s) fled the scene prior to officers arriving.

A vehicle near the incident crashed into a tree while attempting to leave the area, police said. No injuries were reported. Homewood Police detectives are investigating the incident.
