Shot Fired Easter Night, Homewood Police Investigating

A spent shell casing was found Sunday night in the 18100 block of Center, Homewood police said.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police are investigating after a shot was fired during a disturbance Sunday night.

Police were called just after 8 p.m. to the 18100 block of Center. Officers checked the surrounding area and found several spent shell casing near the location, police said Monday. The suspect or suspects had fled the scene prior to officers arriving.

A preliminary investigation indicates the incident was not random and occurred during a disturbance at a residence in the area. No injuries were reported.
