Toddler Shot in the Head in Critical Condition
The 1-year-old Riverdale boy was shot Thursday. He's in Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

RIVERDALE, IL — A 1-year-old boy is in critical condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn after he was shot in the head during an argument in his Riverdale home Thursday.
Several people were taken into custody after police responded around 11:30 a.m. to a home in the 100 block of East 136th Street. A gun was taken into evidence, according to a Riverdale police statement.
A neighbor provided cellphone video to ABC 7 Chicago which shows paramedics bringing the child into an ambulance. The neighbor said the toddler was bleeding heavily around the head and shoulder.

ABC reports that teen-agers left home alone found the gun and were fighting over the weapon when the handgun discharged, striking the child.
