Uncle Left Kids Unattended at McDonald's: Police
A 19-year-old Hazel Crest man was charged with endangering the life of a child.

An uncle allegedly left his brother's children unattended at a Homewood McDonald's, according to police.
Anthony Kondor, 19, of the 16800 block of Head Avenue, Hazel Crest, was charged with endangering the life of a child on May 14, according to a Homewood police report.
Kondor is accused of bringing the children at about 7 p.m. to the fast-food restaurant, 132 183rd St., and leaving them alone for an hour, according to the report. He told police he was trying to look for his lost cell phone.

The oldest child told someone at McDonald his mother's cell phone number but could not be reached, according to the report. The children were later returned to their father by police.
A Homewood officer contacted the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, according to the report. The agency will be opening a case and an investigation.
