​Dementia Caregiver Support Group

Monthly group meets 3rd Tuesday of each month through December 16

In collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association, Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main St., Huntley, holds a monthly support group for caregivers of family members and friends with Dementia.

This support group for members of Shepherd of the Prairie and the Huntley community will continue on the third Tuesday of every month at 2:00pm.

Upcoming dates include: August 19, September 16, October 21, November 18, and December 16.

The group is led by Donna Kelly, director of connections ministry at Shepherd of the Prairie, who has received training and certification by the Alzheimer's Association.

Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Groups provide a valuable space for caregivers and individuals to connect, share experiences, and receive support. These groups offer emotional, social, and practical benefits, helping participants feel less alone, learn coping strategies, and access resources.
