• Crystal Lake home damaged in fire that broke out in bathroom (shawlocal.com) — Huntley firefighters were among several area departments called to help battle a Thursday afternoon house fire in Crystal Lake that started in a second-floor bathroom and spread into the attic. Crews quickly brought the blaze under control, one person was treated and released on scene, and officials estimate about $10,000 in damage while they continue investigating the cause.
