SAMMY SOSA RETURNS TO CHICAGO FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 17 YEARS
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL, MARCH 19, 2023— On Friday, March 19, 2024, Club 400 helped bring
Sammy Sosa back to Chicago. Sammy, as you will hear in his exclusive interview with Jarrett Payton (at Club 400), determined this was the best time in his life to come back to the fans that supported him during his most productive years in baseball.

While Sammy was in town, he visited Shriners Hospital, went to Club 400 for his interview, hosted a dinner for several fans and participated in the Chicago Sports Spectacular. As you will hear, Sammy is ready to mend fences with the Chicago Cubs organization and come back often to be with the fans.
Sammy Sosa, along with Harry Caray were the inspirations for Stewart McVicar to create what
ultimately has become a million-dollar charity to execute on the motto “Cubs Fans Helping Cubs
Fans.” According to McVicar, “this wasn’t even a thought when we first started raising money, but shortly after we started 10 years ago, I thought how cool would it be to be part of the process bring Sammy back.” McVicar, along with P. Andrew Smith, Julian Martinez and Mitch Edelstein were the primary drivers of a multi-year process to lure Sosa back to the Windy City
