What is the most persecuted religious group around the world?

All around the world Christians are being persecuted for their faith in God. This has lasting impacts on families and the Christian community . As someone who is a Christian myself it's sad and heartbreaking to see what is going on around the world to people who believe what I believe. Christian people have faced different things when it comes to persecution. Some Christians are persecuted because they have turned from Islam. On the website Cato they say in 2015 the group infamously beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians. They also say “When a person in Libya leaves Islam to follow Christ, they face immense pressure and hate crimes from their families to renounce their faith,” writes Open Doors. Some Christians around the world are taken to prisons and held hostage. Open doors an organization that helps with providing aid says " more than 6,000 were detained or imprisoned, and another 4,000-plus were kidnapped'' . these numbers are staggering and disappointing to the Christian communities around the world. Christians should be able to share the love of God and express themselves without being held captive or persecuted. There is no doubt that Christians are in danger. This persecution is also happening on American soil. In the news article Christians Arrested for Sharing Their Faith on Public Sidewalk it says ''In America, people of faith are being arrested for sharing the gospel in a public area. It seems instances such as these are becoming more and more frequent. ''( CPCF). The article goes farther and explains how 3 men were playing worship music on a street sidewalk. The police came up and arrested them because of a so-called ''unnecessary noise '' when that law had not been passed in years and a few days before there was loud music coming from the beach district. This is happening to american Christians as well I believe should be spoken up about. If we really care about all religions then why is this happening to Christians and not Muslims or Buddhists. Even in Hollywood some of the singers music videos and even movies like Jay -z's movie The Book Of Clarence mock Christians by replacing Jesus on the screen. I hope that people would see that all beliefs matter and can understand that lives are important. Christians may have different views on some things but that does not mean they should be at risk.
