14-Year-Old Victim: Joliet Police Arrest Man On Grooming Charges

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department announced that 37-year-old resident Christopher Fabian was arrested over the weekend and brought to the Kendall County Jail on charges of indecent solicitation of a child, grooming and aggravated battery.

Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events led to Fabian's arrest on Saturday:

On Dec. 13, 2023, at 10:41 a.m., the Joliet Police Department was notified of an incident in which Fabian is accused of engaging in inappropriate actions toward a 14-year-old girl.

Following an extensive investigation, Joliet police detectives determined Fabian had made unwelcome physical contact with the victim’s body on one occasion and had sent inappropriate social media messages and photos to the victim, according to police.

On April 3, Joliet police detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Fabian on the three charges. Fabian was placed into custody on Saturday after turning himself in at the Joliet Police Department West Facility in Kendall County.
