$150 Bribe Offer Just Buys Shorewood Man More Trouble: Cops
He started at $100 and raised it to $150, police said.

Randy Hatton, 28, offered $100 to the cops in exchange for letting him go, police said, then upped that to $150.
The police reportedly turned the money down and instead charged Hatton with offering a bribe. Hatton was then taken to the Will County jail.
Prior to that, officers had been sent to Hatton’s Hampton Court home shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday to check on the welfare of a juvenile, police said. The juvenile was reportedly fine and chose to remain at the residence.
As the officers were leaving, a heavily intoxicated Hatton ran out of his house, shouted at them incoherently and rushed forward, police said. The officers reportedly shocked Hatton with a Taser.
As the officers were attempting to subdue Hatton, his brother, 35-year-old Vernon Hatton, inserted himself in the struggle, police said. The officers reportedly pushed Vernon Hatton back and shocked him with a Taser as well.
The Hatton brothers were both taken into custody. Randy Hatton allegedly tried to bribe officers while he was being processed at the police station.
