17 Crimes Committed By Pioneer Road Apartment Resident: Crest Hill Police

CREST HILL, IL — A 25-year-old citizen in Crest Hill now finds himself in the Will County Jail following last week's police raid at his apartment dwelling in the 1400 block of Pioneer Road. Prosecutors have charged Marco Vieyra with two counts of armed violence, manufacturing and delivery of cocaine, possession of controlled substances, four counts of having a gun without a valid FOID and nine counts of illegal possession of ammunition.
Will County Judge Shenonda Tisdale ordered Vieyra detained in the Will County Jail until a full-blown SAFE-T-Act hearing can take place in Courtroom 405 on July 25.
According to the prosecution's court filing, on July 3, the Crest Hill police raided Vieyra's apartment on Pioneer Road and found two women inside. Vieyra was walking from the hallway back to his bedroom and the police said he was trying to hand off his phone to one of the women. Four children ages 14, 8, 4 and 3 were also inside.

After being arrested, Vieyra told the police that one of the guns was his, court files show.
The search of his room turned up the following evidence, according to the prosecution:

- 1 sawed off shotgun
- 1 loaded .357 handgun with 16 rounds
- 1 additional gun magazine loaded with 16 rounds
- 1 .45-caliber loaded gun with 14 rounds
- 53 rounds of .357 ammunition
- 89 rounds of .38 ammunition
- 23 rounds of .40 ammunition
- 34 rounds of 9mm ammunition
- 51 rounds of .380 ammunition
- 6 rounds of .223 ammunition
- 4 rounds of .300 ammunition
- .25 caliber ammunition
In addition, prosecutors said, the police confiscated another 44 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, 21 rounds of .40 caliber ammunition and 7 rounds of .380 ammunition.
Also, police found three scales and one had one residue on it.
- Vieyra's state ID and a traffic citation in his name
- 1.6 grams and 12.11 grams of cocaine
- 2 magazines loaded with .40-caliber ammunition, a loaded .40-caliber handgun and $300 cash.
