2 Bullets Found In Joliet Central High School Classroom, Here's What Happened Next

JOLIET, IL — A Wednesday morning incident inside the Joliet Central High School campus resulted in the discovery of two bullets in one of the classrooms, District 204 announced on Facebook.
The District announced that its hold in place and teach mandate has ended.
At 9:10 a.m., students found two 9-millimeter bullets on the floor of their classroom and turned them in to their teacher, the district said. Joliet police were notified and showed up at 9:15 a.m. before any of the students were allowed to leave their classrooms.

"This was the first and only class today in the classroom where the bullets were discovered and all students had remained in the room prior to the discovery," school officials revealed.
All the students in that Joliet Central classroom, along with their belongings, were searched.

No weapons were found, and Joliet police informed District 204 that "there is no threat to the safety and security of students and staff. Therefore, school operations have returned to normal and students and staff have resumed their regular schedules," District 204 announced.
