2 Heroin, Cocaine Dealers Arrested In Star Inn: Joliet Police

The 34-year-old man is from Joliet, while the 30-year-old woman comes from Romeoville.

JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department arrested two people who have been dealing illegal and dangerous drugs from their guest room inside Joliet's Star Inn, in the 2200 block of West Jefferson Street, the arrest reports show.

Michael Lopez, 34, of Joliet, is now in the Will County Jail, where he faces three charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and three counts of possession of controlled substances. He comes from the 2200 block of Graystone Drive.

Danielle Dominici, a 30-year-old Romeoville woman, faces the same charges as Lopez. She also had two outstanding Will County warrants.

Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said a search warrant was executed at a guest room at the Star Inn, 2219 1⁄2 W. Jefferson St. at 9:51 p.m. Oct. 17, following an extensive investigation conducted by the Joliet Police Department Narcotics Unit.

In the guest room, police said officers recovered suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin, as well as prescription medications and a large amount of cash.

Lopez was in the parking lot of the Star Inn and was taken into custody without incident. Dominici was found in the guest room that she shared with Lopez, and she was placed into custody as well. Officers determined that Dominici held two active Will County warrants, both for failing to appear in court on previous battery and traffic charges.

Both people were processed at the Joliet Police Department and then transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
