2 More Arrests Made In 2022 Shooting That Killed 1 Teen, Wounded Another: Joliet Police
A 16-year-old boy was killed in the Memorial Day shooting and a 13-year-old was injured.

JOLIET, IL — More than three years after a 16-year-old boy was killed and a 13-year-old was wounded in a shooting on McDonough Street, Joliet police have announced two more arrests.
The shooting happened at around 11:20 p.m. on Memorial Day 2022, Patch previously reported. Officers found the two boys, who had been hit by gunfire as they walked in the 1800 block of McDonough Street, police said.
"It was initially determined that the 16-year-old juvenile had sustained a possibly life-threatening gunshot wound and the 13-year-old had been grazed by the gunfire," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said at the time. Both victims were taken to Saint Joseph Medical Center, where the 16-year-old boy died. He was identified as Tremarion "Tre" Williams.

Police said during a continued investigation, Magana and Woodall "were identified as additional suspects" in the shooting that killed Williams and wounded the 13-year-old boy.
Magana was taken into custody by Tactical Officers during a traffic stop near Cherry Hill Road and Ellis Road on Thursday, police said. Detectives served the warrant to Woodall at the Will County Adult Detention Facility, where he is incarcerated on unrelated charges.
Woodall was arrested in May 2024 after a laundromat, two empty vehicles and a brick wall were struck by more than 30 bullets just after 12:30 p.m. at 1220 Richards St. in Joliet. He was arrested by U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force in Bolingbrook about a month after the shooting, Patch reported.
"The arrest of these additional suspects is a major step forward in our department’s pursuit of securing justice for those affected by violent crimes," Joliet Police Chief Bill Evans said in a statement. "Our hearts remain with the victim’s family, and we extend our deepest condolences. I want to thank our dedicated Detectives for their relentless pursuit of those responsible for this senseless violence, even almost three years after the tragedy. I am also proud of the members of our Tactical Unit for their outstanding work in this case. The Joliet Police Department will never waver in its commitment to protecting our community and holding violent offenders accountable."
