2 Robbed $400 Cash From Guy in Car: Cops

Police say they captured the two men right after the robbery.

JOLIET, IL — The cops captured a pair of bandits right after they robbed a man who was sitting in his car on South Joliet Street Thursday afternoon, police said.

The ripped-off 22-year-old man called the law right after he was robbed on South Joliet near McDonough Street about 2 p.m., police said, and told how he was taken for $400.

Officers arrived quickly and tracked down Eutacius Evans, 21, and 20-year-old Deveonte Holmes, police said.

Evans, a Joliet resident, and Holmes, who is from Lockport, were arrested and taken to the Will County jail. Evans’ bond was set at $600,000 and Holmes’ was set at $400,000. They remain in custody.

Details of the alleged robbery remained murky Friday.
