2 Stabbed, 1 Might Die Over $40 Worth of Bad Pot: Cops

One of the wounded men is in critical condition at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.

Two men were stabbed and one was clinging to life Monday morning after a far west side fight over $40 worth of bad marijuana, police said.

Rodolfo Trujillo, 19, was jailed on a charge of attempted murder for allegedly stabbing one man outside his Reflection Court home Sunday night. He apparently stabbed a second man inadvertently, police said.

Officers were sent to break up a large fight outside Trujillo’s home about 10 p.m. Sunday. They found a 25-year-old man in a yard who was bleeding heavily from a stomach wound. Truijillo had stabbed the man with a kitchen knife, police said.

A 19-year-old with a knife wound to his pelvis was discovered after the black jeep he fled in crashed, police said. That casualty was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. He was reportedly in stable condition Monday morning.

That teen was fighting alongside Trujillo when his buddy apparently accidentally stabbed him.

The man who was bleeding from the stomach wound was taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition Monday morning.

Another 19-year-old, Oracio Loera of Plainfield, was jailed on charges of aggravated battery and mob action for his alleged involvement in the fight. Both Loera and Trujillo were arrested at the scene of the crime.
