Another Fatal Shooting On Crest Hill's Elizabeth Court: Police

Police said a male victim was found shot in a vehicle Tuesday afternoon.

CREST HILL, IL — A gunshot victim died of his injuries Tuesday afternoon in Crest Hill, police said.

Officers responded to the area of Elizabeth Court for a report of shots fired at around 1 p.m. to find a male victim in a vehicle.

Lockport Township paramedics arrived at the scene and provided aid, but the victim succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The killing marks the second fatal shooting on Elizabeth Court in just over three weeks. On Nov. 25, a man was found lying on the ground in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Court with multiple gunshot wounds.

The man, later identified as 31-year-old Uarl Hunter, was taken to St. Joe's hospital, where he died of his injuries.

As with Hunter's death, Crest Hill police said they believed Tuesday's slaying was a targeted incident and not a threat to the community.
