They broke in and stole from four homes in Shadow Lakes subdivision, police said.

BRAIDWOOD, IL — A young man and two teens were tied to four recent burglaries in Shadow Lakes subdivision after the cops found them hanging out in a vacation house with their ill-gotten gains, police said.

Officers were alerted to a group hanging out in another man’s home in Shadow Lakes subdivision, a “gated year-round resort and residential community,” shortly after midnight Monday.

The homeowner wasn’t there and the trespassers did not have permission to be in his house, police said.

When officers got to the house they reportedly not only found trespassers Nicholas Sanson, 22, of Wilmington, Misty Jerz, 19, of Joliet, and a 17-year-old, but also the proceeds from four recent burglaries committed in Shadow Lakes, including tools, a bicycle and electronics.

Sansone and Jerz were taken to the Will County jail. The 17-year-old was transported to River Valley Juvenile Detention Center.
