$4 Million Bond For Lockport Man Jailed By DEA On Pot Production Charges
The Lockport man was arrested by the DEA Friday.

LOCKPORT, IL — A Lockport man’s bond was set at $4 million after he was arrested Friday for allegedly growing marijuana.
Richard Sherwin, 58, was charged with producing 50 to 200 cannabis plants and manufacturing or delivering 2,000 to 5,000 grams of cannabis.
Sherwin was arrested by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, according to Will County jail records. He was booked into custody shortly before 7:30 p.m.

Special Agent Leo Hawkins, listed as the media contact for the DEA’s Chicago Division, failed to respond when asked to provide information on the case.
Sherwin remains in jail was scheduled to appear in Will County court Monday afternoon.
