Joliet Man, 68, Dies after Bike Fall in New Lenox
James Lorenc struck his head after losing control of his bicycle at Hickory Creek Barrens Nature Preserve, the Will County Coroner's Office said.

A 68-year-old Joliet man lost control of his bicycle and died of injuries sustained in an Oct. 5 accident at Hickory Creek Barrens Nature Preserve in New Lenox.
According to the Will County Coroner's Office, James F. Lorenc was riding his bicycle at the Hickory Creek Barrens Nature Center, when he lost control of his bicycle. He fell and struck his head.
He was pronounced dead at 5:42 p.m. Oct. 5 at Silver Cross Hospital.
The Will County Forest Preserve Police are investigating the accident.
