75 Cent Squabble Unleashes Vicious Beating, Lands Man in Jail: Cops
The customer questioned the cost of his beer, lottery tickets and gas, and the clerk didn't like it, police said.

Jeffrey Hartnett, 38, was sufficiently enraged by the customer’s inquiry that he pushed him, then came around the counter and punched him 11 times, threw him to the ground and kicked him twice, police said.
The 43-year-old customer had the audacity to ask whether Hartnett might have overcharged him by 75 cents, since that was the usual total for his purchases at the Circle K on 143rd Street.
Hartnett attacked the man even after he put the 75 cents in question on the counter, police said.
The customer called the cops and county deputies arrested Hartnett. He was booked into the Will County jail Saturday night and released on his own recognizance about four hours later.
