2 Major Promotions Revealed By Will County Sheriff Mike Kelley

The Will County Sheriff's Office made the announcement Friday morning on Facebook.

JOLIET, IL — On Friday, the Will County Sheriff's Office issued a Facebook announcement revealing that "Sheriff Mike Kelley proudly announces the promotions of Dan Jungles to the rank of Undersheriff and Jeremy Zdzinicki to the rank of Deputy Chief at the Will County Sheriff’s Office."

The agency noted that a ceremony honoring their achievements was held earlier this week, and their promotions will officially take effect on Sunday.

"Undersheriff Jungles is taking over the position due to the recent retirement of Undersheriff Brian Conser. Deputy Chief Zdzinicki will oversee Special Operations/Investigations which was previously held by Undersheriff Jungles," Will County revealed.

"Both Undersheriff Jungles and Deputy Chief Zdzinicki have consistently demonstrated excellence, commitment, and strong leadership qualities in serving the Will County community. We congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition and thank them for their continued dedication to the Will County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Will County."

After seeing the announcement, one person posted the following remark on the Will County Sheriff's Office Facebook page: "Both earned that promotion, and Jeremy is one of the most intelligent law enforcement officers you can know in the profession."

As for Jungles, he will be on the election primary ballot in the Will County Sheriff's race two months from now.

According to the Will County Clerk's Office, the following people are listed on the March 17 ballot:

  • Justin Fialko Republican / Republicano
  • James "Jim" Reilly Republican / Republicano
  • Brian Conser - candidate withdrew / candidato se retiró Republican / Republicano
  • Patrick Jones Democratic / Democrático
  • Dan Jungles Democratic / Democrático
