'Active Incident' On Langsford Lane: Joliet Police

Almost two weeks ago, police responded to a domestic incident involving a crossbow just down the street.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet police were on the scene of what they called "an active incident" Wednesday afternoon in the 6400 block of Langsford Lane, according to officials.

Police issued an alert that they were investigating at the scene, which has a Plainfield mailing address, at 1:30 p.m.

"There is no threat to the public," police said. "Further information will be provided as it becomes available."

Wednesday's incident comes almost two weeks after police responded to another situation on Langsford Lane, that time in the 6600 block.

In that incident, they arrested a 53-year-old man, who was accused of clubbing someone with a wooden beam before shooting a crossbow at the victim's head. He remains at the Will County jail.
