Admitted Gypsy Wanted For Ruse Burglary Locked Up Again: Cops
She stole jewelry from an elderly Channahon couple, police said.

CHANNAHON, IL — A Chicago woman wanted for stealing jewelry from an elderly couple was arrested when she went to court for an unrelated drug case Monday morning, police said.
Patsy Miller, 52, was jailed on charges of residential burglary, theft and trespassing.
The warrant for her arrest carries a $250,000 bond.

Miller was in court for a possession of a controlled substance case. She had been arrested in December after the Bolingbrook police pulled her over and allegedly found her holding Suboxone and clonazepam.
Miller also had numerous pieces of jewelry, watches, coins, collectible money and thousands of dollars in cash in her Acura, according to police. She claimed none of the property belonged to her, said Bolingbrook Public Safety Director Tom Ross, so the cops took it, along with the Acura. The assets have since been legally forfeited to the police.

Ross said at the time that detectives believed the shocking stock of valuables was likely the proceeds from ruse burglaries. He said his department was trying to reunite the property with its owners.
Two weeks ago, Channahon Police Detective Craig Gunty said investigators developed Miller and another man as suspects in an October ruse burglary, matching them to crimes committed in Downers Grove and Bolingbrook.
“They’re both self-admitted Gypsies,” Gunty said.
Miller distracted a man and woman, aged 69 and 64, by inquiring about a camper that was for sale while her partner stole their jewelry, Gunty said.
Only Miller has been charged in connection with the jewelry theft.
Miller was free on bond when she showed up to court Monday morning for her drug case. She was released Dec. 28 after her 37-year-old son, Mickey Miller, posted $5,000 bail.
