Angry Hospital Patient Battered Security Guard: Cops

He was on his way out of the hospital but ended up getting arrested, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A patient at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center battered a security guard just as he was being discharged from the hospital, police said.

Michael Stamps, 32, was on his way out of St. Joe’s about midnight Friday when he walked toward the information desk in an “aggressive manner” while speaking loudly, police said.

A 24-year-old security guard approached and Stamps pushed him with both hands, police said. Then the cops showed up and arrested Stamps.
