Angry, Violent Woman Removed From Joliet Housing Authority 4 Times: JPD

As officers tried to place Williams into handcuffs, but she grabbed hold of a nearby metal pole to defeat the arrest, Joliet police said.

JOLIET, IL — A 41-year-old woman has been arrested by the Joliet police in connection with a total of four separate incidents at the Joliet Housing Authority property on the city's west side near the river.

Tiffany Williams was charged and released on a notice to appear in court on charges of criminal trespass to state supported land and obstructing a peace officer. She was also later charged and released on a notice to appear for criminal trespass to state supported land and aggravated assault.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 1:26 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the 400 block of North Bluff Street for a disturbance and encountered Williams, who police say attacked another woman at the Joliet Housing Authority property.

Officers issued a city ordinance violation to Williams for the crime of battery, and she was told to leave as officers escorted her from Joliet Housing Authority property.

Approximately 30 minutes later, Joliet's officers were dispatched back to the scene after it was reported that Williams had returned to the Joliet Housing Authority property in the 400 block of North Bluff Street. This time, the officers attempted to place Williams into handcuffs, but she grabbed hold of a nearby metal pole to defeat the arrest, English said.

An additional officer arrived, and Williams was placed into custody. She was processed at the Joliet Police Department and released on a notice to appear.

Then came the third encounter for Joliet police that particular day.

Later in the afternoon, at 2:14 p.m., the officers responded back to the 400 block of Bluff Street for a report of a woman chasing another woman with a knife. English said that William threatened another woman with a knife during an altercation. Officers placed Williams into custody and the knife was recovered. Williams was also served with a court issued stalking/no contact order at this time.

The following day, Saturday, Williams was arrested once again and this time it meant a trip to the Will County Jail, that arrest log showed. From that crime Williams faces charges of violation of an order of protection.

English said that at 7:07 p.m. Aug. 2, officers responded to the 400 block of North Bluff Street for a report of a violation of an order of protection. Officers arrived and learned that Williams was at the location, which violated a previously served stalking/no contact order in which Williams is named as the respondent. She was near the protected party on the order. Williams was placed into custody without incident, the police noted.
