JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department issued a Friday night press release to reveal that 25-year-old citizen Travoccia W. Dillard was put in the Will County Jail on charges of reckless discharge of a gun in connection with the early afternoon west-side shelter-in place near Black Road.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., Joliet officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Ann Street for a report of a neighbor discharging a gun into the air. Upon arrival, officers learned the incident stemmed from a neighbor dispute in which the suspect went outside and fired one round into the air.

The Joliet resident had been involved in a dispute through social media with Dillard. Dillard retrieved a gun from his residence and fired a shot in the air before retreating inside and changing his clothing, Landeros said.
