Back in December, Joliet Patch broke the news that a 53-year-old man from the Plainfield area, Harold Cochran, remains in Will County's Jail after Joliet police said he clubbed someone inside his house with a wood beam and then grabbed his crossbow and fired a wooden arrow at his victim.

Joliet police booked Cochran into the Will County Jail on Friday afternoon, and he remained there on Monday now that a Will County judge has determined that Cochran meets the dangerous standard. Cochran must now remain locked up indefinitely as he awaits his trial on three criminal charges: aggravated battery, domestic battery and aggravated assault.

Also, in 2019, Joliet Patch wrote another crime story about Winston Hart surrounding his arrest at the Shorewood Public Library. Patch reported at the time that the 31-year-old man from San Clemente, California remained locked up in the Will County Jail after Shorewood Police arrested him on charges of theft and criminal damage to government supported property.

Winston Hart was accused of throwing several rocks and shattering glass windows inside the Shorewood-Troy Public Library during the late hours of Aug. 7, after the library staff had closed up the building and went home.
