Another Joliet Police Arrest At Townhouse Motel On Plainfield Road

JOLIET — The Joliet Townhouse Motel at 832 Plainfield Road continues to keep the Joliet police force busy. The officers have made several arrests here this year and also investigated a deadly stabbing of a 48-year-old man.

On Tuesday night, Joliet police arrested 34-year-old Romeoville resident Juan Garcia. giving him a Notice to Appear on charges of aggravated assault.

Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said that at 9:26 p.m., officers responded to the Townhouse Motel for a customer causing a disturbance.

Officers determined that Garcia had rented a room and had become upset about a faulty room key. Police believe Garcia argued with the desk staff and then displayed a pocketknife and threatened to stab the employee.

Garcia was on the scene and was placed into custody, and the pocketknife was recovered.
