Attempted Murder Charges For Boy, 15, In Cuddy's Deli Shootings
The shooting occurred outside the Western Food Mart at 308 Western Avenue on August 28, at 9:11 p.m

JOLIET — In addition to the recent arrest of 19-year-old Crest Hill resident Marcus Gilbert, Joliet police announced on Thursday that Gilbert's 15-year-old accomplice has also been charged with two counts of attempted murder and other felonies in connection with the non-fatal shootings of two teenagers on the property of Cuddy's Western Avenue neighborhood grocery store.
The 15-year-old is now being kept at the River Valley Justice Center. His name is not being released because he's being charged as a juvenile, not as an adult.
On Aug. 28, around 9:10 p.m. Joliet police found a pair of teenage shooting victims nearby in the 300 block of Bluff Street. The 17-year-old boy had a single gunshot wound to the right calf and a 15-year-old boy had a single gunshot wound to the buttocks.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English:
As Joliet police detectives continued their investigation into this shooting following the arrest of Marcus Gilbert on September 10, a 15-year-old juvenile was identified as an additional suspect.

The juvenile was questioned by the detectives at the Joliet Police Department on Tuesday. Fromm there, the Will County State’s Attorney Office approved the charges of two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
As for Gilbert, he was taken into custody by members of the US Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force during the morning hours of September 10, in the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive in Bolingbrook.
