Bakers Square Is Nothing But A Pile Of Rubble, Joliet: Photos
Seven months after Joliet's City Council approved a new Starbucks on West Jefferson Street, the empty Baker's Square is being torn down.

JOLIET — For the first time in five-and-a-half years, there was activity at the Bakers Square restaurant on Joliet's West Jefferson Street. Demolition crews from Glendale came to Joliet on Tuesday to flatten the empty Bakers Square restaurant at 2211 West Jefferson.
The company closed the Joliet restaurant, 2211 W. Jefferson St. in March 2019.
Back in February, Joliet Patch reported that Starbucks planned to tear down the old Bakers Square and build a new drive-thru coffeehouse shop on the property, across from the Marycrest Shopping Center.
