Bandit in Joliet Bank Robbery Claimed He Had Gun: Feds
The robber never showed the gun he claimed he was carrying.

One of the two men who knocked over the Chase bank on Route 59 Tuesday claimed he was carrying a gun.
The bandit never showed the gun he said he was packing, according to the FBI, but he threatened to use it.
FBI agents responded to the afternoon robbery at the Chase branch south of Theodore Street, as did local police. Joliet Police Chief Brian Benton said the feds were handling the investigation and referred questions to them

The FBI has released no description of the two robbers, other than to say they are black.
