
A Plainfield man who suffered ghastly facial injuries in a drunken crash turned down a trip to the hospital and was instead taken to the Will County jail.
Jason McNamara, 40, had a warrant for out for his arrest in connection with a child support matter, police said. Court records show a warrant was issued last month when he missed a hearing.
McNamara was arrested following a wreck Wednesday in Lee County, police said. He reportedly refused medical attention.

SaukValley.com reported that McNamara was charged with driving under the influence, obstructing justice and improper lane usage after he crashed his pickup truck into a tractor-trailer.
The police in Lee County released McNamara on his own recognizance, according to SaukValley.com, but instead of going free he was taken to the jail in Joliet.

The warrant for McNamara’s arrest carried a $1,000 cash bond. Records show he was released from jail after about two hours.
